Digital Media Creators Study Group
I created this group for the express purpose of gathering digital media creators on a weekly basis to watch, discuss and learn from various online and offline training sources and materials and to then put to practice, as a group, what we just learned.
Microsoft BizSpark
I am happy to have been accepted into the Microsoft BizSpark global program, which helps software developers by providing them tools, connections and marketing visibility.
There are 2 big limitations to shooting long scenes with the Canon 7D. The first is heating issues with the camera during recording time. Once the camera reaches a certain temperature, it will warn you that it's hot and it will shut down and you won't be able to continue recording. The second limitation is the recording file size.
If you missed it, Adobe today announced that they are no longer selling "boxes" and are now a subscription based software company. Along with that major change, they are no longer calling the app suite, "Creative Suite" (as in Adobe CS6). It's now Adobe CC (Creative Cloud). So all apps now end with the CC acronym (Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, etc.)

He's very dynamic and has lots of experience in the industry, especially, working as a low budget indie filmmaker.

Web and Mobile Development
I love to develop websites, web apps and mobile apps. I use various languages, including, but not
limited to PHP, Javascript, HTML 5, CSS 3 and C#. I also use various frameworks
including PhoneGap, CodeIgniter, ASP.Net MVC 4 and Twitter Bootstrap.
Project Management
If I had to pick one strength to "show off about", it would have to be my project management
skills. I love to guide, inspire and keep teams on track to finish the tasks at hand. I use
a variety of tools, such as Active Collab, Pivotal Tracker, MS Project and a variety of
frameworks, such as waterfall and scrum.
Media Creation
Media comes in many flavors today and each have their pros and cons. I can shoot and edit
videos, create video tutorials, write blog articles and produce podcasts and webinars.
eMarketing & Social Media
If you don't have a marketing strategy, you are throwing your money away every time
you market in Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social networks. To be effective and
convert leads into customers, you need to know who to target and where they hang out.
